Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
>Mission FundingMission Funding
Does your congregation have some promising ideas about how to reach out to unchurched or hurting people in your community? We have some limited funds available.
You are invited to seek an Emerging Issues/Ministries grant. You will need to apply to our District Missions and Strategy Team, which, upon approval, we will submit to the East Ohio Conference for final approval.
We also have some seed money for start-up of local church ministries and/or partnerships with other churches and agencies for meeting the needs of the poor and hurting in our communities. These projects should foster the connecting of these hurting people with the local church. The local church will need to indicate how it plans to financially sustain this ministry if it is to be on going.
The District Mission and Strategy Team will accept these grant applications at any time, but will review those on hand at three of our monthly meetings: September 8 and December 8. Click to the right for an application form – MISSION GRANT REQUEST
If you have any MIssion Funding questions, please contact the District Office and talk to District Superintendent Dan Bryant or call Rev. Dave Gilbert, chairperson of the Mahoning Valley District Committee on Missions and Strategy, (330)759-0118, or Debbie Bryant - email
